Milk Collection Sites

About Milk Collection Sites

A milk collection site is an agency affiliated with a donor milk bank that collects and stores donor milk which is then transported to the HMBANA milk bank for processing.

The HMBANA member milk bank accepts responsibility for all screening, processing, and distribution. Depots in reasonable proximity to donors enable them to deliver frozen milk conveniently by car, rather than transporting or shipping the milk directly to MMBA – at Milk Bank expense – which require purchase of dry ice as well. At the time of drop off, donors can also pick up milk collection containers.
