Did you know that you can save the lives of babies born too soon and too small with your breast milk donation? The Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin is a nonprofit organization that relies on healthy, lactating women to donate their extra breast milk to pre-term and ill infants when a mother cannot provide her own milk. You can make a one-time or ongoing milk donation, whether you live in Austin or even in another state. If you are interested in becoming a milk donor and real-life superhero, fill out the form on this page to initiate a simple screening process to determine your eligibility. We will contact you within 48 hours of receiving your information. The following includes information about how and where to donate breast milk once you are an approved donor.
Our milk donors come from across the United States. Click on the links below to see how you can get your lifesaving milk donations to MMBA.
Donate milk in the Austin area
Don’t live in Austin? We have additional milk depot sites around Texas. You can deliver your milk to the milk depot site nearest you:
Donate milk in the Houston area
Donate milk in the San Antonio area
Donate milk in another city in Texas outside of Austin, Houston and San Antonio
You don’t live near any of our Texas milk depot sites? Out-of-area donors are approved on a case-by-case basis. The minimum initial donation for out of town donors is 200 ounces, with the expectation that the donor will continue to donate. Out-of-area donors should have access to dry ice (for which we reimburse). We also supply the coolers for shipping. Contact Laura Tankersley to request a cooler: 512-579-3978.
