Donate breast milk in Washington D.C.

Did you know that you can save the lives of babies born too soon and too small with your breast milk donation? Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin is a nonprofit organization that relies on healthy, lactating women to donate their extra breast milk to preterm and ill infants in need.

If you are interested in becoming a milk donor, fill out the form above to begin a simple screening process that determines your eligibility to donate precious milk.

Getting your milk to Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin

You must be approved as a milk donor with MMBA before you begin dropping off milk.
Don’t live near our drop-off location in D.C.? Out-of-area donors are approved on a case-by-case basis. The smallest initial donation for out-of-town donors is 200 ounces, with the expectation that the donor will continue to donate. Out-of-area donors should have access to dry ice, for which we reimburse. We also supply the coolers for shipping. Contact us to request a cooler.
The people who greet you at depots are volunteers for MMBA. They volunteer during their normal work hours. Please call ahead of time to let them know you are coming to drop off milk, and be patient if you have to wait for them while they finish up with their patients.
